Patient groups
Segment your patients by creating different customizable groups.
This functionality is included in Anytime Premium. Learn about the features of each Anytime plan here.
What is it about?
Patient Groups is a new feature that allows our users to segment patients within their organization in a customizable way. Among some of its various uses, you can find:
- Creation of "Patient Groups": These groups should be created by an administrator for patient assignment. Each group should contain a name, status, and description.
- Access by Doctor: You can determine the access that members of your organization will have based on the patient groups you have created.
- Assignment of Groups to Schedules and Waiting Rooms: Patient groups can be added to different schedules or waiting rooms in your Nimbo account, as well as to each doctor's personal schedule.
Check this article for a more detailed understanding of each of the points mentioned above.
Setup
To assign a patient to a specific group, you must first create the group.
Go to 'My account' > 'Organization'.
When you click on the "+" button, you will be able to add a new group of patients. Each group will have the following information:
- Group name
- Group status
- Description
Access to patient groups by doctor
This functionality will allow you to specify the patient groups that doctors will have access to.
Go to My Account > Organization.
Within the 'Members of your organization' section, select the "Edit" option inside the account of the physician you wish to apply the changes.
In the 'Patient Groups' field, you will be able to select the groups the physician will have access to.
Remember to save the changes!
Patient Groups per Agenda or Waiting Room
Once you have created a patient group, you can add it to a schedule or waiting room inside your organization.
Go to My Account > Configuration > Agenda.
Whether you want to add a patient group to a schedule or a waiting room, the process is quite similar:
- Click on the "Edit" button.
- Select the available patient group for this schedule (only one patient group can be added per schedule or waiting room).
This function is also available inside each physician's schedule in your Anytime organization.
Additional information
In order to have a better understanding about how this new option works, we highly recommend reading the following details about this improvement:
- There are some cases where patients do not belong to any group, if that's so, all members of the organization will have access to the patient's medical record (unless the functionality of "allowing doctors access to all patients in the organization" is disabled).
- Remember that patients cannot belong to 2 groups at the same time. (For now).
- If a doctor tries to search for a patient who belongs to a group they do not have access to, the patient's record will not appear even if the patient search function is used.
If you have any doubts or questions about this function, you can always contact us using the Support Chat, it is the blue button at the right corner inside the Anytime app screen.
Happy consultation! ⚙️
